SummerKeys Music Camp

July brings Marilynn’s private teaching expertise to the beautiful, peaceful seaside town of Lubec, Maine. The week features individualized instruction by Marilynn, with daily private hour-long lessons, a daily mandolin class, 2 hours a day in your own private practice room, and the opportunity to join with other students in coached chamber ensembles. If you love Marilynn’s “The Complete Mandolinist” method book, and have wished you could have access to her expertise in a private-lesson setting, join her for SummerKeys 2018!

Marilynn was invited to begin her week of classical mandolin instruction at the renown SummerKeys chamber music camp in Lubec, Maine in 2007. She continues to run this week in addition to her more famous American Mandolin & Guitar Summer School, because the camp has a very different focus than the ensemble-oriented AMGuSS. At SummerKeys students come to work independently with a master teacher on their technique and interpretation, and to unwind in the beauty of nature that surrounds them. Lubec has ocean walks, peaceful forests, picturesque scenery, as well as charming B&Bs and Inns, fabulous restaurants, concert series, and a large multi-instrument assembly of music students throughout the whole summer.
