SKstudent concertCome join us  July 7 – 11, 2014 for the Mandolin & Guitar Ensemble Week at SummerKeys. We are the only mandolin or guitar summer school that combines daily private lessons with workshops and a directed all-school ensemble. Here’s the 2013 group at showtime. The 2013 student recital included: Alma Brasileira by Jacob do Bandolim (arr. Jeff Dearinger), a 4-movement English Country Suite arranged by Marilynn, Bulgarischer Hirtentanz written by Siegfried Behrend for the German National Mandolin Orchestra, Charcos, an Argentine milonga by Homero Perera (arr. Marilynn Mair), Crespuscolo Estivo by Romanello Jeri, an original Italian mandolin ensemble piece from the 1920s, and for a bravura ending, The Flying Wedge by Kate Dolby, a Galop for mandolin orchestra published in Boston in the 1920s.
